Glazed Tiles. There are several types of surface that is glossy, matte, and anti-slip. Glazed tiles are glossy is not suitable for bathrooms and kitchens because it will become slippery when there is wet.
Mosaic. Available in a variety of materials and finishing, from glass to ceramics, and is also available in various patterns and images with vivid colors.
Quarry. It is a tile made of a mixture of clay and are usually have natural color : gray, red, brown. The color comes from clay and color depending on the temperature of combustion. These tiles is not suitable for kitchen.
Porcelain. It’s tile has a stronger hold when compared with other tiles because the burning process at high temperature, cell density in the tile is also very good. Suitable for frequently traveled places.

Don’t let the name of this site fool you, I think that there is nothing wrong with Inexpensive or cheap tile. 3 years ago we bought a house that was built 30 years ago and never updated in that entire time. We bought it right because most people could not see the true potential since it was very unappealing, but structurally perfect. Since we were sure that we would want to sell it in a few years we have done all of the remodeling with as reasonably priced materials as possible.
One thing that we did right away was to gut the one bathroom in the house and redo it entirely. the only thing that is original to that room is the good cast iron bathtub. Ceramic tile is and all around good value and since you really don’t get any more money for expensive tile as you do for cheap tile when you sell, we literally bought the cheapest tile that we could find, and have used it for that original bathroom as well as the full bathe that we built in the basement. It looks great.

to add some interest in the first bathroom we installed the cheap tile on the bias, which means that we installed it in a diagonal fashion. no one would ever think that there is anything wrong with the tile, and there isn’t, it was just a good value.
We also built a master suite in the house by removing a wall between 2 bedrooms and building a walk in closet and bathroom area. Here we were fortunate enough to run int a great deal on 18 inch by 18 inch cut travertine stone for a great price, like 25% of what it is normally. Cheap tile indeed, but very elegant and very impressive.
In the kitchen we built and installed chocolate colored counter tops that are beautiful. for the backsplash we kept our eyes out for some cheap tile and we found it. There was a local big box store that had a closout on a gorgeous tile that is a perfect match. We picked up all we needed for about 25% of the original price, but who will ever know? Nobody!
With a little perseverance and patience anyone can find great great values in building materials including cheap tile, for there remodeling and building projects.
